Başak Özkendirci: Textile artist, designer and educator Başak Badur Özkendirci born in Ankara in 1974. She received B.F.A. from Textile Department of Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts in 1998. Worked as designer , research development manager for industry-leading companies as Zorlu Holding, Window Home, Aydın Örme. During her more than ten years working experience she specialized in textile research and developement. She has training certificate about Jacquard Warp Knitting Machines from Mayer Technic Textile Company. Received her M.F.A. degree in 2010 from Marmara University Institute of Fine Arts. by thesis ‘warp knitting in terms of design methods’ Her D.F.A. Thesis 'Sculptural Textiles' has copleted in 2014. As well as her published articles and abstracts she has two published books which is written with Doc.Dr. Burhan Bahriyeli. In 2012 she awarded second price of Home Textile Design Competition. Her artistic works have been exhibited in various personal and group exhibitions. Basak Özkendirci is working as Assist. Prof. at İstanbul Kemerburgaz Univeersity Faculty of Fine Arts and Design.
